On Saturday 24th of November EF students had the opportunity to decorate a huge 2-meter Christmas Tree with the pleasant company of their friends at the home of Dr. Mingarelli, the head of school.
November is pretty early for Christmas decoration, however, the Christmas spirit of Dr. M’s house party was shared with every single guest. It is one of those activities you shouldn’t miss if nostalgia appears when thinking about spending Christmas with your family and friends. During the evening, students had the opportunity to decorate a huge 2-meter Christmas Tree with the pleasant company of their friends.
At the start of the visit, the students were invited to try different varieties of pizza. During the snack break, the students talked about Christmas in all of their different cultures.
“We usually don’t celebrate Christmas in my home country, Russia.”- said Khristian Mikhnov, EF Academy senior, although he still wanted to participate and enjoy that feeling.
Once finished eating the pizza, the students put their hands to work. The tree was about 2 meters tall, and students needed the help of a ladder to reach the top. All of us participated in the activity, engaged and powered by the chocolate cookies and chocolate peppermint, which Dr. M. offered during the process.
After an hour of decorating, the tree was completely covered and looked amazing. Students and staff members were very proud of the executed work.
“Thanks for coming, this looks awesome. I really appreciate you!” said Dr. M. as she brought out her dogs so we could play for a while, they were fully charged with energy and so adorable. This was possibly the best moment as the students not only received pure love from the animals but also a hot chocolate for the walk back to EF Academy. The event was over, but students looked forward to the next activity at Dr. M.’s house!
