The EF Academy Pasadena boys’ soccer team had a tough 2024-2025 season, winning 3 games, losing 10, and tying 1. Even though the outcomes were sometimes hard to take, the team showed resilience and determination. They faced strong teams, including Rio Hondo Prep on February 3rd, when they lost 2-5, and Flintridge Prep on January 27th, when, after a hard game, they lost 2-4.
EF Academy is committed to learning from this season and coming back stronger. As long as coaches and players continue to work, this team is ready to face the next season head-on and with passion.

While the outcomes were challenging, Coach CK believes the team progressed nicely in terms of teamwork, communication, and possession soccer. “Early on, we struggled to connect, but later in the season we did a good job of moving and passing,” he said.
Going forward, the focus will be on tighter defense, sharper finishing, and maintaining intensity for the full 90 minutes. “We created chances but did not always finish. We also need to stay focused and avoid making mistakes that result in goals being conceded,” Coach CK explained.
Some of the highlights of the season included the 11-0 win over SEED: LA on February 1st, which showcased the team’s potential. On the other hand, the losses to Rio Hondo Prep and Flintridge Prep were tough but learning experiences. “Those are the games where we need to be able to win next year,” Coach CK said.

Mateu, an 11th grader, recognized the coach’s tactical approach, stating, “The coach has good tactical ideas and tries to implement a modern, proactive game.”
George, a 12th grader, emphasized the values the club instills in its players, saying, “The club instills in its members responsibility, punctuality, and teamwork.”
Despite the disappointments, Coach CK is optimistic about the future. “We never gave up, and that’s a reflection of our character. Now it’s a matter of learning from this season and returning stronger. We have the talent, it’s a matter of putting the pieces together,” he stated.
With the right mindset, EF Academy Soccer Club is ready to take on next season confidently and resolutely.
